Students

Redemption Hill Student Ministry exists to glorify God by equipping Middle and High School students and their families to live out his mission as a community transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The primary focus of student ministry (grades 6-12) is to provide opportunities for them to worship God and grow together during this unique season of life in the context of our local church. We desire to foster an environment of Gospel-centered learning conducive to growth in the knowledge and love of Christ. Students will be challenged to grow in their understanding and commitment to the gospel, Christian community, and God’s mission. The meetings and events are open to any student, regardless of their upbringing or current beliefs. Student ministry is not only an integral part of a young Christian’s life, but also provides a context to be missional with non-believers among their families, friends, and social circles.

To accomplish this vision we will:

  • Support, Involve, & Equip Parents as the Primary Spiritual Leaders
  • Integrate, not Segregate Students from the Larger Church Body
  • Promote Responsibility and Provide Opportunities for Leadership Development
  • Focus on Individual and Small Group Discipleship
  • Develop Young Men and Women Individually and in Community
  • Provide Age and Grade Specific Ministry Opportunities

At RHC, we want to provide various opportunities for students to become actively involved in Student Ministry events.

Corporate Worship

We welcome every student and their families to join us at 10:30 on Sunday mornings for corporate worship at The Boys and Girls Club of Medford (30 Forest St). We also encourage our students to become engaged in our various service opportunities before, during, and after Sunday worship.

Small Group Gatherings

We gather together during the fall and spring semesters after service on Sunday from 1-3:30. We eat lunch, play games, and discuss the Bible and that Sunday’s sermon. Students are encouraged to be actively involved and to ask questions that they may have. Certain Sundays we will engage in other activities outside of the Boys and Girls Club, but it will always be from 1-3:30.

Large Group Gatherings

We want our students to gather with others from the greater Medford area in larger group contexts. We meet together with several other Student groups at Hope Fellowship Church in Cambridge a few Friday nights throughout the year, and for a couple of other events. Please see the calendar for dates and details!

Connecting Events

Throughout the year, we have several unique events for both our group and youth in the Medford Community. In the past we have hiked Mt. Monadnock, gone to Canobie Lake, and went away for a weekend retreat at Newfound Lake. We have also held a 3v3 basketball tournament and an Open Gym Night. To see any of these upcoming events, please see the RHC Calendar!

Service Opportunities

We heavily encourage all of our students to be actively involved in various service opportunities throughout the year. We are able to both serve on Sunday during and after the service, as well as with the Church as we serve the Medford Community throughout the year, including: Soccer Nights, Easter Egg Hunts, Turkey Giveaways, and more!!
