Summary: God is good, and his nearness should be pursued as our greatest pursuit. The Psalm calls us to the goodness of God in spite of the evil in our world. Augustine's words help summarize the heart of the final verses: “He loves Thee too little who loves anything together with Thee which he loves not for thy sake.”
